Confirmation of conformity is carried out in one of the forms: in the form of certification or in the form of a declaration of conformity.

Product certification is a procedure for confirming its safety and quality, through which an accredited certification body certifies that the products comply with the requirements of technical regulations and / or standards in force in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Declaration of conformity of products is a procedure for confirming its safety and quality, through which the manufacturer of products or supplier certifies that the products comply with the requirements of technical regulations and / or standards in force in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
 
The legislative and regulatory framework for certification services in Kazakhstan is the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Technical Regulation” and technical regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

With the accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Customs Union (Eurasian Economic Union), the scope of certification is also regulated by the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 29, 2014 and the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union/Customs Union (hereinafter referred to as the Union).
 
How do I know if a product is subject to mandatory certification/declaration?

Products are subject to mandatory certification/declaration if they fall under the technical regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan or TR EAEU/CU, as well as if the products fall under the Decision of the Commission of the Customs Union dated April 7, 2011 No. 620 “Unified List of Products Subject to Mandatory Conformity Assessment (Confirmation) within the Customs Union with the Issuance of Uniform Documents”.

The form of conformity assessment (certificate or declaration) for each type of product is determined by the relevant technical regulations.

Payment for certification / declaration of products is carried out by the Applicant on a contractual basis.
